Filmmaking is one of the things that I always wanted to study but never got the chance, energy or found the right moment to do it. Two weeks ago this changed, and I started a 12 week filmmaking program at the New York Film Academy. I can´t be more excited about it! It´s great to know a little bit more about the process of been a director, cinematographer or wirter. Also I can´t wait to learn as much as I can and put all this new knowledge together in practice in future projects.

Something else that it´s really helping me on to learn filmmaking is a friendly short film competition that we created with some friends called 1 Week Films, basically it´s a friendly competition where every two weeks you have to make or help making a short film, with the only rule that has to include in some way a specific ingredients that are posted on the website. The short films can be live-action, animation, stop motion, whatever you want, the main purpose it´s to practice and learn filmmaking while having fun. When the competition it´s over we all check the short films together and comment about it, and I can tell you now, you learn A LOT!
